This course overviews the main requirements of the flood provisions for structures regulated by the Florida Building Code. Topics inclue flood loads, building flood provisions, residential requirement (establishing DFE and lowest floor definition, protection of utilities and wet floodproofing), the role of the local Floodplain Administrator, floodhazard areas and studies, elevation certificates, and flood resistant design.
