What Classes Do I NEED?

Log into your online account with the state at www.myfloridalicense.com to find out specifically what KIND of hours you need if you do not know.  County license have their own schedule - ask your Contractor Licensing division of your building department.

HINT: To find a SPECIFIC class, type in the SEARCH field at the top right
(for example, type in REQUIRED to see the "Required" classes)

2025 is the year to renew:

REGISTERED CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTORS  (August 31st ACTIVE)
you need the 7-hr REQUIRED class PLUS any other 7-hr class OR a specialty class (Windload 3-day certification, Quickbooks hands-on)

BUILDING CODE ADMINISTRATORS & INSPECTORS
(November 30, 2025 ACTIVE held LESS THAN 10 YEARS)
14 hours of CE including 2 energy code, 2 BCAI laws/rules,
1 accessibility, and 1 BCAI ethics.  Take the "BCAI Required" course plus
any other 7-hour class approved by CILB.

You can do your CE hours ahead of when they are required -
i.e. electrical contractors, mold licenses, and home inspectors all renew
on EVEN YEARS - but if you take a class in 2025, it will count for the 2026
renewal! PLAN AHEAD...

ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS (August 31st EVEN year ACTIVE)
 certified OR registered electrical contractors: you need the REQUIRED class (morning only) PLUS the 7-hr Advanced Residential Plumbing class 

HOME INSPECTOR LICENSES
(July 31st Even ACTIVE or INACTIVE held LESS THAN 10 YEARS)
you need 14 hours including 12 hours on building systems and 2 hours on hurricane mitigation - take our 2-day HI Renewal class OR
the Principles of Mold class

MOLD SERVICES LICENSES 
(July 31st EVEN YEAR ACTIVE or INACTIVE held LESS THAN 10 years)
You need 14 hours on MOLD topics - take our 14-hour Principles of
Mold class
